Banshee 64mm Sport EDF Jet - PNP from Freewing - FJ11211P
The Freewing Banshee 64mm EDF Jet is the perfect introductory model for those seeking to break into the thrilling world of foam Electric-Ducted Fan jets. Made with industry-standard and durable EPO foam, the Banshee comes with a 12-blade EDF with a robust 2840-2850Kv Outrunner brushless motor for captivating aerial adventures.
The stylish, streamlined fuselage penetrates through the skies with very little resistance while the 12-blade fan provides ample thrust and realistic sound for those exhilarating aerobatic maneuvers. The Banshee’s modular structural design uses plastic joints and screws to facilitate simple assembly, maintenance, and repair, a welcomed departure from the tedious and adhesive assembly of models from years past.
Enjoy the Banshee’s low wing loading for increased performance at lower speeds. With the installed flaps the jet can handle slower landings and shorter takeoffs with ease. The ESC includes a reverse thrust function that slows the jet upon landing, dramatically reducing the landing rollout. If you do not wish to utilize the fixed landing gear, the Banshee excels as a capable hand-tosser/belly lander. Take to the skies with this excellent jet that both novice and experienced pilots alike will equally enjoy.

Really nice looking and has great features, Glad for the flaps. I have to confess I never flew this on 4s. I bought one of these 2500kv inrunner setups and installed it in this plane. This is, by far the most powerful 64mm setup that I have flown. I have hotrodded lots of 64mm units and this one is by far the best! I cant believe that freewing isnt selling these in this plane. I am not kidding this will give a 70mm edf on 6s a run for its money if not best it. So happy to find a 64mm setup that performs Like I think it should. Plane flew well with no bad habits. Its like a smaller avanti. I used a lemon rx 7 channel gyro receiver in it. Have to turn the gains down really low or it will oscillate. I ran the wires to the front of the plane and put the receiver up there in the nose. I don't know why freewing recommends ridiculous aileron high rates. If you use them it will spin like a top. I always program my high rates using their recommended low rates and this works out really well. You can adjust from there. I did not add any elevator down with my flaps and it seems just fine. I forgot to add that I flew this on a 6S 3300mah 60c battery pushed all the way back to the back of the battery bay as far as it will go. I also installed a 60 amp 6S capable esc. Super happy, can't wait to fly it again!

The Banshee is still, with a variety of options available in my "hanger" the go to plane I grab when I fly. I upgraded it to a 6s and it basically does everything I want. This is a fantastic plane and I highly recommend it as av first time or experienced flyer. I've never had an issue with it. It is durable, well built, and easy to fly.

But it's very hard to hand launch with one hand. There's no good place to grip so I do a two handed launch. But this only works with the Flex Aura Lite gyro because it has a launch assist mode. It keeps the wings level and a 30 degree climb while you pick up your transmitter again. I've found that you can stall the jet in a turn if you don't keep your airspeed up. And on belly landing you need to keep the nose up. If it snags the grass the nose breaks off.
